Although Jeremy had seen Rikari several times at work (they both supported the same government program in the same building at the time), it wasn’t until he grabbed her arm one night as she and her friends were leaving a concert that they actually met. After they worked through the confusion of why he’d grabbed her, Rikari was gracious enough to give Jeremy her number. They talked for over 6 hours that night! The rest, as they say, is history…
So how did Jeremy pop the question? He surprised Rikari with a proposal FOR THE AGES! Jeremy clandestinely guided Rikari to a hotel rooftop where many of her friends and loved ones laid in wait. Not only was she shocked and overwhelmed by the presence of so many familiar faces, Rikari was left breathless and in tears by Jeremy’s request for her hand in marriage. Eventually, all she could do was … SAY YES!
